Kickers Announce Specials for Final Homestand

RICHMOND, Va. – (Tuesday, September 24, 2019 – The Kickers will close out the USL League One regular season at home on Wednesday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 5 at City Stadium. To celebrate the occasion, the team will be hosting a variety of specials and giveaways during the final home matches.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the first 400 fans, ages 14 and up, will be given a Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt presented by the VCU Massey Cancer Center.

The midweek match will also be College Night for all the students in the Richmond area. Students with valid college ids can purchase $6 tickets at the booths outside the stadium.

Finally, fans over the age of 21 can take advantage of Happy Hour specials from 5:30-7 p.m. that include $1 PBR can beers and $3 off craft beers and wine.

For the final match of the season, the Richmond Kickers will host Oktoberfest and Fan Appreciation Night presented by Premium Distributors of Virginia and supported by Allstate.

Fans over the age of 21 can partake in the extended Happy Hour special from 5:30-7 p.m. and enjoy $3 off their craft beers and wine.

Upon entering the stadium, fans will receive door prizes and also have the chance to enter into the Fan Appreciation Night Raffle.

Fans will also have the chance to meet Kickers players on the concourse and get autographs from the players before the match.

After the match has concluded, fans under the age of 14 are invited to partake in a post-match shootout at the North End goal. Meanwhile, fans are also invited to a post-match meet and greet with the players from 9-9:30 p.m.

Family Fest this Saturday

The Richmond Kickers will host Family Fest at City Stadium Saturday, August 17, presented by WTVR CBS 6. The party starts at 5:30 p.m. with half off craft beers until 6:00 p.m. and live music from the Cary Street Ramblers. The Kickers will take the field at 7:00 p.m. to host Toronto FC II.

CBS 6 has partnered with Star Auto Sales to give away two cars during halftime of the match. Any fans that want a chance to win the cars can register inside City Stadium after the gates open at 5:30 p.m. Winners can only win one of the cars. Click here for the terms and conditions of the giveaway.

The Kickers will be taking clothing donations starting at 12:00 p.m. and then throughout the match to benefit Communities in Schools Richmond. More information and details of what to donate can be found here. Any fans that bring a donation will be eligible for an extra entry in the used car giveaway.

In honor of former club photographer, Suz Kitsteiner, the Kickers have partnered with Richardsons Rescue to take donations in her honor. Passionate for both the Kickers and soccer in RVA, Kitsteiner also devoted much of her time with Richardsons Rescue to aid in the adoptions of cats. Richardsons Rescue will be on the main concourse taking donations and talking about what they do in the community.

Kickers Partner with Richardsons Rescue in Honor of Suz Kitsteiner

RICHMOND, Va. – (Tuesday, August 13, 2019) – The Richmond Kickers have partnered with Richardsons Rescue to take donations at City Stadium this Saturday, August 17 to honor former club photographer Suz Kitsteiner, who tragically lost her life due to a battle with cancer. Kitsteiner devoted her time in Richmond at Richardsons Rescue, aiding in the adoption process of cats.

Not only devoted to pet adoptions, Kitsteiner spent several years on the sidelines of Kickers matches with another passion of hers, photography. If there was an event in and around RVA that involved the Kickers or soccer, you could guarantee that Kitsteiner would be in attendance.

To make a donation, Richardsons Rescue will have a table set up on the main concourse at City Stadium this Saturday. If you are unable to attend the match, or would like to donate anytime, you can donate to Richardson Rescue here.

Richardsons Rescue is a 501c3 whose founder and volunteers have decades of rescue experience. They are partners United in rescue and Rehabilitation Solutions. The motto of the organization is “Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome, Repeat.” Richardsons Rescue are actively engaging communities in animal rescue in all of the different avenues by using creative and humane solutions to save cats and kittens in the city of Richmond and its surrounding counties.

Clothing Drive August 17

The Richmond Kickers need YOUR HELP to stuff the clothing closets of Richmond City Elementary Schools!

Partnering with CommunitiesinSchools.org, fans who donate an item to the clothing drive will receive a raffle ticket for a Kickers Swag Bag – valued at $100! As a BONUS, fans will also receive an extra entry into the used car give-away courtesy of WTVR CBS 6.

Honoring Our Heroes Night This Saturday

Honoring Our Heroes Night presented by the Virginia War Memorial Foundation is this Saturday night as the Kickers square off against North Texas SC under the lights at City Stadium. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and fans can enjoy drink specials on craft beer and wine, all while taking in the sounds of live music from the Shakedown. Emergency and first responder vehicles will be on the concourse for fans to explore and enjoy. Limited edition pregame jersey auction starts when the gates open at 5:30 p.m. and will end at the conclusion of halftime, with proceeds benefiting the Virginia War Memorial Foundation. It’s Pride Night, presented by Health Brigade and supported by Stonewall Sports, at City Stadium this Saturday night when the Richmond Kickers host North Texas SC. The party starts when the gates open at 5:30 p.m. with Happy Hour drink specials for the first 30 minutes on craft beer on tap and live music from Mars River Bridge. The Kickers players will come out for warm ups wearing limited edition pride jerseys that will be auctioned off to benefit Health Brigade. It’s Craft Beer and Wine Fest Saturday, May 11, presented by Premium Distributors and New Kent Winery and supported by the Carytown Merchants Association. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with over 20 craft beers on tap, plus wine slushees and live music from Back Seat Drivers.

Star Wars Night at City Stadium Saturday

May the force be with you this Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. when the Kickers host Star Wars night and Lansing Ignite FC. The Kickers players will come out for warm ups wearing limited edition Star Wars pregame jerseys, which will be auctioned off at City Stadium and all of the proceeds will go to benefit Sportable. The party starts at 5:30 p.m. when the gates open with drink specials for the first 30 minutes on craft beer, plus wine from New Kent Winery and live music from Fennario. Then, get loud with the Red Army when the Kickers take on Lansing for the third and final meeting of the season at 7:00 p.m.

Any fans that come out in a Star Wars costume will get tickets for just $10 at the gates, plus a special on drinks inside the stadium.

After the match, join the Kickers players, coaches and staff at Bingo Beer Co., located at 2900 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23230 for the Official Post Game Party. Enjoy food and drink specials while mingling with the players.

Kickers K-9 Night This Saturday

This Saturday is Kickers K-9 Night presented by Impawsible Pups at City Stadium. The party starts at 5:30 p.m. when the gates open with free dog bowls for the first 150 dogs courtesy of Impawsible Pups, drink specials for the first 30 minutes with craft beer on tap, plus wine, several food vendors, bounce houses for kids, new “Target Practice” shooting area and live music from the Dirty Runaways. Then, join the Red Army when the Kickers battle Chattanooga for this first time this season at 7:00 p.m.
