RICHMOND, Va. – (Wednesday, March 20, 2019) – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeepers Matt Broomall and Joe Rice for the 2019 season, pending USSF and USL League One approval.
Broomall joins the Kickers after a season with Atlantic City FC in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). In 2017, the Somers Point, NJ native played a season at Sodertalje FK in Sweden, his first professional club after five seasons at Rutgers University Newark.
Rice signed his first professional contract with the Kickers following his collegiate career at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to his senior season, Rice made 13 appearances for Lionsbridge FC in USL League Two.
With the additions of Broomall and Rice, the Kickers 2019 roster now sits at 18, including Amass Amankona, Charles Boateng, Matt Bolduc, Dennis Chin, Jannik Eckenrode, Akira Fitzgerald, Josh Hughes, Daniel Jackson, Aboubacar Keita, Eli Lockaby, Ivan Magalhães, Mutaya Mwape, Maxi Rodriguez, Conor Shanosky, Scott Thomsen, and Braeden Troyer.
