The 2018 USL Cup proved a landmark night in the league’s history.

In front of a sellout crowd at Lynn Stadium in Louisville, Ky., and in front of a television audience that spanned the United States on ESPN2 and more than 50 countries around the rest of the world on ESPN International, the final game of the league’s eighth season saw hosts Louisville City FC become the first back-to-back champions as it spoiled the final professional game of legendary forward Didier Drogba as he suited up for Western Conference champion Phoenix Rising FC.

As the USL Championship begins its preparations for the new campaign in March next year, relive one final time all the buildup and action from November 8, 2018 in a special video package celebrating a memorable week and championship celebration in the Derby City.
