RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce that Rivendi Melvin Pierre-Louis has signed with the historic club, pending league and federation approval.
The Haitian attacker joins the Kickers after playing for FC Motown, the second-ranked team in the National Premier Soccer League and trained with the Kickers through the latter part of the 2024 season.
With FC Motown, Pierre-Louis helped to lead the NPSL side to the National Championship match. In July of 2024, Motown earned a Keystone East Conference Championship, with Pierre-Louis contributing to a 4-1 win over the No. 2 seeded Jackson Lions FC. Moving onto regional competition, Pierre-Louis and the Motown side claimed another title, taking down the Virginia Dream 1-0 in Semis and demolishing the New York Shockers 5-0 in the regional final.
To close out July, Motown won their National semifinal match 2-0 to make the Championship. In early August, they fell 2-1 to El Farolito.
Pierre-Louis contributed several goals for FC Motown, including a brace in the second half of their regular season finale, and helped the side to qualify for the 2024 U.S. Open Cup. Before Motown, Pierre-Louis played for Lansdowne Yonkers FC .
