Four Roos earn weekly honors after playing two matches in Week 10

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League One announced on Monday that Richmond Kickers’ defender Nathan Aune, midfielder Ethan Bryant, defender Jalen Crisler, and defender Stuart Ritchie were named to the league’s team of the week for week 10 following their performances against Chattanooga Red Wolves SC and South Georgia Tormenta FC. The trio’s team of the week worthy performances are presented by Legends Soccer Co.
Crisler earns his second placement on the team of the week in 2022 after previously earning two placements during the 2021 season. Aune, Bryant, and Ritchie are all debutants for the league’s weekly honors.
Crisler led the team in goals with two-headed strikes during week 10 after he delivered one from a corner kick against Chattanooga and the second during a throw-in against South Georgia.

“It always feels good to be selected for Team Of The Week,” Crisler said. “It felt amazing to get my first two goals for the club in front of the home crowd and the Red Army. They were fantastic as always to help give us the energy to get the results at home. It was a very busy week for the team and to come out with two results to finish the week is a testament to the work the team has put in thus far.”
Assisting Crisler from the throw-in sequence was Aune, who curled in a perfect ball to Crisler inside the box. Prior to assisting Crisler, Aune was the man who opened the scoring against Chattanooga as he scored a header from a corner to break the match open.

“This was a week of firsts: my first goal, my first assist, and my first team of the week,” Aune said. “It’s always good when your performances can be recognized. Hopefully, the team and I can take the good and build on it and continue to put in these types of performances.”
Bryant was immense in the match against Chattanooga as his right foot set up Aune and Crisler’s goals from the left corner. The midfielder also earned the hockey assist on Leonardo Baima’s goal as he appeared to draw a penalty in the box, but, as the referee chose not to award the foul, Bryant poked the ball back out of the box while still on the ground to Vincenzo Candela who quickly laid the ball off to Baima for the goal.

“I’m very honored to be mentioned in the team of the week,” Bryant said. “The individual accolades are a representation of the whole team putting in good performances this week. Hopefully, there are many more to come this season.”
In a week of firsts for new and second-year Kickers, Ritchie scored his professional goal as he earned the equalizer for the Kickers in the first half against South Georgia.
“I’m really happy to be named to the team of the week after some good performances from the team,” Ritchie said. “I’m glad I was able to contribute to the team with a goal on the weekend. It means a lot scoring my first professional goal for the Richmond Kickers and hopefully, I get some more this year.”
