RICHMOND, VA — (Sunday, July 30, 2017) — Richmond Kickers U13 Girls Elite player Catherine Muir was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia July 26, and is being cared for at VCU Medical Center. She will be receiving aggressive chemotherapy treatments in the next 6-8 weeks. Following the initial treatment, Catherine will have an additional 6-9 months of intermittent chemotherapy, which will require hospitalization, then followed by another year or more of maintenance chemotherapy.
