As the Richmond Kickers revamped ADP program enters its second year, player registrations are approaching an all-time high. The enhanced ADP program provides additional emphasis on 4v4 small-sided games, an extended player evaluation period, specific teams for each player and a superior game day environment.
Led by former Richmond Kickers professional player and ADP and U9/10 Director, Ross Mackenzie, the program has been designed to provide the highest level of technical and tactical instruction under the guidance of Kickers pro players and the best coaches in the region.
“The Kickers ADP program is where we traditionally develop and identify the vast majority of our future U9/10 Travel players,” commented MacKenzie. “The addition of set teams for the season has been an exciting and popular development for our families and adds continuity, consistency and a fun developmental environment for the players. It has also added a little more of a competitive edge to game nights which is really fun to watch.”
“In my opinion, the 2016-2017 season was our most successful ADP season to date,” added MacKenzie. Each location had a pool of very talented players and we had over 70 players from ADP selected for this years U9/10 travel teams. A number of our coaches participate in both the ADP and U9/10 program which helps us provide a smooth transition from program to program.”
As an added benefit, all players in the Kickers ADP program have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere and excitement of Kickers pro soccer with a complimentary Family Pass, which offers admission for up to five family members to all Richmond Kickers professional regular season home games at City Stadium ($900 value).
“Our ADP players are very fortunate to have the opportunity to be coached by current and former Kickers pro players. It’s a great experience for the players to watch some of their coaches play every other weekend at City Stadium with their teammates.”
