RICHMOND, VA – (Friday, January 15, 2016) – The Richmond Kickers announced the 2016 preseason schedule today, which will be highlighted by the annual Pro-Am Challenge featuring the University of Virginia on Saturday, March 5 and a match against the Carolina RailHawks on Wednesday, March 16.
The Kickers will open their preseason camp with a closed door scrimmage against Longwood University on February 28 before taking on UVA the following weekend. Kickoff for the annual Pro-Am Challenge on March 5 is slated for 6:00 p.m. at Ukrop Park and the match will serve as the marquee game during the weekend’s prestigious Ultimate Cup, hosted jointly by the Richmond Kickers and Chesterfield United.
Tickets are $10 and space is limited to just 500 seats. Limited space is also available for Red Army members in an exclusive on-field standing section.
The preseason test will continue with a home and away series against the Carolina RailHawks, with the Kickers hosting the NASL side at City Stadium on March 16 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and 2016 Season Tickets will be accepted at this match.
The preseason tune-up will also include closed door games against Navy on March 6 and Virginia Commonwealth University on March 20.
