The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce that Katie Cousins has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) 2013 Youth Girls All-America Team. The true U17 player who plays an age group up with the Kickers U18 Girls Elite is one of 38 girls recognized for her performance in 2013.
A native of Lynchburg, VA, Cousins was recently selected for the upcoming U.S. Soccer U18 Women’s National Team training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. The December camp marks her fourth U-18 Women’s National Team call up who attended training camps at the Olympic Training Center in October 2012 and February 2013 before earning a spot on the U20 Women’s National Team roster for the 12 Nations Tournament in Spain last March.
Cousins will be recognized at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon held during the 2014 NSCAA Convention in Philadelphia on Saturday, January 18.
