The Richmond Kickers U17 Girls Elite won their second straight Disney Showcase Title, defeating a strong Beadling SC team, the State finalist and #2 ranked team from Western Pennsylvania in the final.
The Kickers jumped out to an immediate 1-0 lead in the opening minutes before Beadling leveled the score on a quick counter attack. It was a back and forth affair until the second half when the Kickers began to control the midfield and got the go ahead goal in the 67th minute. The girls clinically finished the game with good possession in the waning minutes before standing strong in stoppage time on two dangerous Beadling corner kicks.
