The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce that their U16 and U18 Academy Teams will face DC United’s Academy Teams in two special preseason curtain raiser games. The games are scheduled to take place at RFK Stadium prior to DC United first team matches.
The U18s will compete on Sunday August 19 prior to the D.C. United vs Phildelphia Union game while the U16s will battle on Wednesday August 29 before the D.C. United vs New York Red Bulls.
“The Kickers/DC United Academy preseason games will offer a fantastic learning experience for our players,” commented Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer. “On each occasion, the team will travel on the Kickers bus then compete against exceptional opposition while sampling the MLS stadium atmosphere. The day will finish in style when teams will sit together to watch DC United play live.”
