TAMPA, FL – (December 20, 2011) – The 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals U12 Girls All-Tournament team was announced today, with the Richmond Kickers boasting three selections.
Golden Boot winner Riley Cook leads the list of forwards after her four goals helped propel the Richmond Kickers to the title match.
In the midfield, Richmond’s Laurel Ness made the team after scoring a goal and adding two assists during the finals, while Olivia Bolton earned a spot after her standout defensive contributions throughout the tournament.
The 2011 All-Tournament Teams were selected by USL staff based on tournament statistics, ODP nominations submitted by tournament coaches and recommendations from the USL Technical Staff. The 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals were held December 2-6 in Brandon and Land O’ Lakes, Florida. The Richmond Kickers U12 Girls finished second after a narrow 2-0 loss to the Long Island Rough Riders for the Championship.
