TAMPA, FL – (Monday, November 14, 2011) – United Soccer Leagues recently announced the Super Y-League First 11 and Second 11 rankings for the 2011 regular season, recognizing the Richmond Kickers Girls program as one of the league’s top clubs on a competitive and administrative basis. The Kickers Girls program ranked second on the First 11 list, claiming the honors for the third consecutive season.
The Kickers Girls program earned an overall score of 90.45, with a record of 30 wins, one tie and three losses and superior administrative marks, finishing just 1.45 points behind the Girls leading club MPS Bulldogs/Renegades.
The Richmond Kickers U12 Girls, coached by former Kickers professional player Mike Burke, led the South Atlantic Division with a 12-1-1 record and 37 points, tallying 57 goals over the season, while conceding just 13. The U12 Girls will represent the Richmond Kickers at the 2011 Super Y-League North American Finals December 2-6 in Tampa, Florida.
