Revamped U8 Girls Program Rockin'

The Richmond Kickers Pocoshock Recreation Program has "revived & revamped" the U8 Girls Program. In an excellent example of club collaboration MYSL and the Kickers worked together for the U8 Girls in Fall 2005. 5 MYSL teams agreed to come to Providence Middle School for a match vs. our two teams (Team Mia & Team Hamm). Team Mia and Team Hamm also traveled out to Hensley on alternate weekends to compete against U8 Girls' MYSL teams!
This program has been so successful the Director (Connie Shupe) is forcasting fielding approximately 4 teams for the Spring of 06! Connie Shupe says "Our pool training of the two teams has really helped develop the girls' skills! They (Team Mia & Team Hamm) view themselves as one group which really promotes the "family" atmosphere in our club. I have been so pleased with each childs' individual progress in skills! Keeping these young girls together is benefiting everyone!"
