RICHMOND, VA – (Friday, March 2, 2007) – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the continued growth of the “Pro Pass” program in 2007 with over 5,000 youth season passes distributed to local youth soccer players.
In 2007, the Kickers maintain their multi-year partnership with the Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club (RKYSC), Midlothian Youth Soccer League, Shady Grove YMCA, Tuckahoe YMCA and William Fox Soccer. New to the Pro Pass program in 2007 is the Upward soccer program.
Upward is a sports ministry specifically designed for kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes character, and self-esteem through sports programs including soccer, basketball, cheerleading and flag football.
Established in 2002, the Richmond Kickers Pro Pass offers youth soccer players admission to all Richmond Kickers regular season home games and playoffs, as well as all Richmond Kickers Future (PDL) and Richmond Kickers Destiny (W-League) home games. Additionally, the Pro Pass entitles holders to discounts and special offers at Ukrop’s Super Markets and participating Arby’s locations all season long (limited transactions per visit). Discounted Pro Passes are available for siblings of members of the affiliated programs. The Pro Pass program is mutually beneficial and supports the efforts of all parties involved to grow the sport of soccer, support local family entertainment and invite community participation.
New in 2007, Pro Pass members will be required to activate their Pro Passes via RichmondKickers.com in order to take advantage of the benefits of the program in addition to prizes and special offers throughout the season. Additionally, all Pro Pass members who register prior to April 13th will be eligible to win a new Playstation 3.
“This is a win-win situation for the pro and youth community,” comments Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer Programs Leigh Cowlishaw. “The Pro Pass provides our young players with exposure to exceptional role models and will also enhance their learning process by providing opportunities to see quality soccer action.”
“Our Pro, PDL and W-League teams are committed to being an inspiration and motivation to our youth community,” continues Cowlishaw. “We look forward to thousands of enthusiastic young fans and their families supporting the Kickers this season.”
The 2007 Pro Pass is available for purchase for all youth ages 3-17. For more information, please call (804) 644-KICK or click here to purchase!
