HOTELS
You may now make your hotel reservations! I recommend emailing Brenda at bren@outerzonesports.com for hotel suggestions. I am by no means an expert on hotels. I’ll have division by sites posted by next Thursday. All of our sites are currently in Chesterfield County, except for one at Dorey Park near the airport. I personally recommended you book lodging in Chesterfield County along the 288 corridor as this highway allows for easy access all the way around our city.
Please make note that we do not require teams to use our housing agency. It is up to you! Our housing service has an "Act of God" clause with all of their hotels that should something happen that causes the tournament to be cancelled, hotels will not charge you.
SCHEDULES
Schedules will not be posted until the approximately 2 weeks before the event. Although we try to work with scheduling requests, we cannot guarantee that all will be satisfied. As the tournament director I’ve already noted approximately 10 dual coaching conflicts that I’ve seen and have made notes to our scheduler who is working diligently to work around them. It is not an easy task, and not always can it be accomplished! Field restrictions also play into the scheduling process and limit what teams can be placed at certain sites. I thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter!

ATHLETIC TRAINERS
This year, as always we shall have athletic trainers at all locations. Athletic trainers are being provided by the Chippenham Johnston Willis Medical Center. You can come by the tent location if you need any assistance.
SAT TESTING
To ease scheduling I will need to know from each team Under 16 and older who is NOT taking the SAT’s on Saturday. It will make our schedule much better if there happens to be two teams in the same bracket that we can line up for an earlier game (12 noon or earlier). Please respond to me on this question as soon as possible. Please include the name and the age of your team along with the head coach's information.
TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION POLICY
The tournament will do its best to schedule three (3) games for each team. However, if an unforeseen event such as weather or late dropout causes the cancellation of any game or all games, the tournament is not liable and no refund is guaranteed.
The Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club 2009 Anthem Columbus Day Tounament will secure a Tournament Event Cancellation Insurance Policy. This policy will reimburse Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club in the event of a tournament cancellation subject to the terms of the policy. This will enable the Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club to refund all or part of paid application fees in the event of a cancellation of the event and if the insurance company follows through on its financial obligations to the club in accordance to the terms of the policy and if the RKYSC actually gets payment under the policy sufficient to refund fees.
TOURNAMENT RULES (HYPERLINK)
You must print out our rules and make yourself familiar with them. The tournament is for the enjoyment of the players. The tournament places a strong emphasis on sportsmanship and good manners by all! High standards of sportsmanship are expected to be observed by the players, coaches, and spectators.
I am looking forward to a great weekend of soccer!
Sincerely,
Tish Schrock
