Professional Experience and Honors:
2006: A second-year pro, Görres proved to be an integral component of the Kickers midfield en route to the regular season title and USL2 Championship, registering four goals and four assists while making 20 starts of 21 games played.  Finishing fifth on the team with 12 points, Görres moved into the Kickers top 10 all-time assists career list with 11 overall in just two years.  A USL2 All-League First Team selection, Görres garnered USL2 Team of the Week honors three times during the 2006 campaign (7/10/06, 7/17/06, 8/14/06).   

2005: Looking to increase the strength in the midfield, the Kickers chose Görres with their first round pick, 10th overall,  of the USL First Division College Draft from the University of North Carolina-Pembroke (UNCP).  In his rookie season, Görres started 25 of 34 games played and led the team in assists with seven.  Responsible for three goals, he finished the season tied for second on the team in points with 13 overall.  Named to the USL First Division Team of the Week on May 24th for registering a goal and an assist in the Kickers 3-1 victory over Minnesota, Görres tallied the Kickers only goal in the USL First Division Championship with a 30-yard blast, named Shot of the Week by Fox Soccer Channel.     

College Experience and Honors:
2004: Görres was recognized as All-Conference, All-Tournament and first team All-American (NCAA Division II) as well as named to the NSCAA All-Southeast Region squad and the NSCAA/Adidas Scholar All-American squad upon completion of his degree in Business Administration with a 4.00 grade point average.  One of only two All-Americans to play for UNCP, Görres holds the school record for career assists with 28 and scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute of the NCAA quarterfinal match that sent UNCP to their first ever Final Four appearance.  The 6’1" native of Flensburg, Germany started every game and tallied eight goals and nine assists in 2004.

2003: Görres transferred to the University of North Carolina – Pembroke from the University of Flensburg for Applied Sciences in Germany.  In his first season with the Braves, he scored six goals while setting a new UNCP record and ranking second in the nation in assists with 19.  He led UNCP to the best mark in school history at 17-1-2 and finished the season ranked #16 in the nation (NCAA Division II).  He garnered PBC All-Conference, All-Region and All-State honors.
