RICHMOND, VA – (Monday, January 19, 2009) – Richmond Kickers Indoor of the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) return to SCOR, Sports Center of Richmond, on Saturday, January 24th to host the Virginia Legacy at 7:00 pm.  The first 100 fans through the door will receive free chips and salsa, courtesy of Bandito’s Burrito Lounge.  Space is limited and a sellout is expected.  Tickets are just $5.00 at the door. 

Kickers Indoor returns to regular season action after the 2008-09 winter break, bringing a 1-1 regular season record to SCOR on Saturday.  The Kickers last faced the Virginia Legacy in Williamsburg on December 13th when they suffered a 12-4 loss.  One week prior, the Kickers opened the 2008-09 season with an 8-5 victory over the Winchester Impact.  Richmond local Chris Green leads Kickers Indoor with five goals and one assist in two regular season matches while current Kickers midfielder Luke Vercollone and former Richmond pro Greg Simmonds have notched a pair of goals each.

Meanwhile, the Virginia Legacy have four games under their belt and a 2-2 record as they enter the latter half of their sophomore PASL season.  Despite opening the season with a pair of wins, the Legacy has gone winless in their last two regular season outings, most recently dropping a narrow 8-5 decision to the Winchester Impact on January 11th.  Forward Josh Nolz leads the Legacy with four goals and one assist in three appearances.  Forward Nathan Belcher has contributed three goals to date after leading the Legacy’s Premier Development League side in 2008 with 10 goals and one assist for 21 points.

Following Saturday’s match-up, Kickers Indoor takes to the road for the next two fixtures, heading north to take on the Maryland Tigers on Sunday, January 25th before traveling to Fredericksburg on Saturday, January 31st.  Kickers Indoor hosts Maryland and Fredericksburg on February 7th and 14th respectively to conclude the 2008-09 home season.
