RICHMOND, VA - (Tuesday, September 2, 2008) – Richmond Kickers Indoor of the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) is pleased to announce the signing of Head Coach Kyle Lessig for the 2008-09 season.

We have a solid core of local players to build from last season as well as some exciting prospects to bolster the roster"
A native of New London, Connecticut, Lessig brings six years of professional playing experience to Richmond Kickers Indoor after stints with the Connecticut Wolves (USL-1), New Jersey Stallions (USL-2), Municipal de Goicoichea Costa Rica (First Division) and Philadelphia Freedom (USISL Indoor). Lessig assumed the Head Coach position for the Richmond Kickers Future of the Premier Development League prior to the 2007 season and currently coaches two teams with the Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club, U-17 Boys Elite and U-12 Boys Elite. Additionally, he has gained extensive youth coaching experience with the Richmond Strikers, AC Alliance (Director of Player Development), Colonial FC (Director of Coaching), Barrington FC and New London Sounders Premier (Founder, Director of Coaching). The former Connecticut College men’s soccer assistant coach, Lessig acted as the head coach of the Richmond Rowdies, Richmond’s PASL indoor team last season.
After one year at Philadelphia University, Lessig transferred to the University of Hartford where he captained the NCAA Division 1 soccer team and earned a degree in secondary education. He holds a USSF “B” License and has experience with the USSF Youth National Team Pool.
About Richmond Kickers Indoor
Entering its 10th year, PASL is the largest international indoor/arena soccer league in the world with 54 teams in the United States. Teams play regionally with the season running November through March. PASL is an affiliated member of the FIFRA (Federation International Futbal Rapido Association). The Richmond Kickers have taken over the operations for the existing Richmond indoor soccer franchise, which competed in the PASL during the 2007-08 season. Richmond Kickers Indoor will consist mostly of Kickers professionals plus select amateur players and will take the field during the 2008-09 season. Competing in the Mid-Atlantic division, Richmond Kickers Indoor will face regional opponents in approximately 10 matches, with home matches taking place at SCOR, Sports Center of Richmond.
