The Richmond Kickers dropped a 4-1 loss to the Carolina RailHawks (NASL) Saturday night in their first preseason match. 

RailHawks forward Brian Ackley gave his side the lead in the 30th minute before Brian Shriver made it 2-0 three minutes later.  Kickers trialist, Chris Thomas (Elon University), teamed up with D.C. United defender Taylor Kemp to pull a goal back in the 72nd minute before Shriver notched a pair of unanswered tallies to round out his hat trick. 

The Kickers host NCAA Finalists Georgetown University in the fourth annual Pro-Am Challenge on Saturday, March 16.  Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Ukrop Park and tickets are on sale now for just $5.00.
