The Mechanicsville Local: Soccer is on the rise in Hanover County

Thanks to many dedicated volunteers and coaches in local soccer leagues and teams, a spike in youth participation has been noticed. Starting them off at a young age is what Richmond Kickers player Ross MacKenzie says is the key to success.

“I think Hanover and Mechanicsville in particular have always been a place where players have come to play,” MacKenzie said.
