Richmond City Stadium, conveniently located just off the Downtown Expressway at 3201 Maplewood Ave Richmond, VA 23221, features seating for 22,611 (9,000 for soccer), a world-class natural grass playing field and electronic scoreboard.  The stadium contains spacious locker rooms with wall-to-wall carpeting, a training area, and two-level press box.  During the Kickers 2010 season, the city-owned facility and home of the Richmond Kickers reacquired its original name of City Stadium or Richmond City Stadium.  Called UR Stadium for the past 27 years, City Stadium was the site of University of Richmond home football games from 1929-2009. In addition to the Spider football team, City Stadium played host the Virginia High School Football Championships and was the site of the 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championships. 

STADIUM GATE CONTRABAND CONTROL

No bottles, cans, coolers, containers, food or beverages of any kind, powdered substances, televisions and professional cameras. No flag poles of any kind, firearms, fireworks or any other weapons. All items brought into the stadium are subject to search at any time. Anyone with an item that does not pass security measures will be asked to either take the item back to their vehicle or dispose of it. Purses, backpacks, fanny packs, diaper bags or any other bags may be brought into the stadium, but will be thoroughly searched at the bag inspection area. Security parameters are subject to change at any time.

PARKING

Parking is FREE for all Kickers’ regular season home games at Richmond City Stadium.
