RICHMOND, VA - (Monday, May 17, 2010) – Celebrate the end of the school year and kick off the summer fun at the Richmond Kickers Second Annual School’s Out Festival on Saturday, June 5th.  Beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the University of Richmond Stadium, the School’s Out Festival will feature live music, food, activities for kids and fun for the whole family.  The pro soccer game highlights the event as the Kickers host the Charleston Battery at 7:00 p.m.  Bring the whole family before 6:00 p.m. and purchase a $10.00 ticket that allows admission for the whole group.  Parking is free.  Richmond Kickers regular priced admission ($12/adults, $7/youth) will apply after 6:00 p.m.

The School’s Out Festival will feature live music by local musicians, food, arts and crafts, inflatable games, presented by Bounce 2 the Moon, face-painting and prizes.  In addition, soccer fans of all ages will be invited to participate in the Kickers Soccer Zone with small-sided games, juggle-a-thons and soccer drills to be held on the field at the stadium throughout the day.  The Festival will conclude with the Kickers pro soccer match featuring the Charleston Battery at 7:00 p.m.

Now in their 18th season, the Richmond Kickers have been a member of the United Soccer Leagues family since 1993.  Over the past 17 seasons, the Kickers have striven to provide quality and affordable family entertainment while giving back to the community through outreach programs and serving as the model for the future of American soccer.
