Deli returns to the Kickers for the 2009 season after spending three seasons with USL-1 side Rochester Rhinos. The forward began his professional career with the Kickers in 2004, and has continued his goal scoring prowess in the 2009 season, leading the team and the league with 13 goals and two assists for 28 points during the regular season. RichmondKickers.com recently sat down with Deli to get to know him off the pitch.
1. What is your greatest soccer moment?
Playing in championship games in college and as a pro
2. Favorite sports other than soccer?
Golf, tennis, disc golf are sports I like to play, I enjoy watching nearly every sport out there.
3. What is your pregame ritual?
I’m not superstitious, I just try to make sure I’m hydrated and will drink a few liters of pedialyte if it’s a hot day
4. Few people know that I: am a science geek and would like to further my science degree and study theoretical astrophysics and maybe try and go to space one day if the opportunity arises.

6. Which international soccer player do you model your game most closely to?
I like watching any world-class striker and watch their movement on and off the ball and their ability to finish.

8. What is your favorite thing to do in Richmond?
Taking my son Samuel to do different activities all over the place, going to Smoothie King and playing golf when I can.
9. What is your favorite Kickers memory?
Making the Championship in 2005
10. What is your dream job?
My dream job was always to be a soccer player. I also wanted to be an astronaut.
11. What is the best coaching advice you’ve received?
Always play with confidence and to take the first touch toward goal to set up better finishing chances.
