If you are coaching in Chesterfield County it is required by law that you have a background check done. The county offers this service free of charge at two different locations. As a coach with the Richmond Kickers it is imperative that you have this done before your first practice. Even assistant coaches are required to posess one as well. After you pass the check a card is sent to your provided address. You must have this card on you at all times while at the field. County officials have been known to come to the fields and check for passes.

• Ukrop Park Coaches
• Hensley/Woodlake Coaches
• U10, U12 & U14 Union Coaches (because games are played in Chesterfield County)

When you register to coach with the Richmond Kickers through our database it also requires you to fill out a "Kid Safe Disclosure" form. This is our governing body, VYSA’s, background check procedure and is required for all coaches and assistant coaches in the program. By filling out the registration you have done all you need to do in that regard, the Kickers staff will take care of the submission process.
